Today i ordered my PPS K98!
Ordered a Cyma M1A1 Thompson as an alternative weapon for my Brit kit.
I managed to convert a Brit mk4 helmet to a mk3 today. For some reason I can't find a mk3 for anything but silly money but picked up a mk4 with a mk2 liner for £5.
Was fairly easy to convert bar drilling the new holes for the screws. Snapped 3 drill pieces in the process but got through in the end!
I removed the strap points and removed the ring to pull the strap through. This left it the same as the mk2 helmet strap hooks so I fitted the mk2 strap.
Finally gave it a spray with a random green I had (I know initially they were brown) and it looks good!
Received a US spec MP44 - stupid orange muzzle nut.
Fixed the MG42 stock/propeller and put a bigger motor in it. Only doing 1764 RPM now!
Today I've been packing for when we move house next week and got rid of a load of crap that I don't need. Very chuffed as that means more space for ww2 kit!

Ralph
Put a bit of artificial wear and grime on my shiny new belt buckle.
Fiddled with the Maxim some more, added the spring-return cover and started on the cocking handle. Also got told off by the neighbour for being 'too loud' at 21:24 in the evening *oops*
Today I rage quit on my Zb26. Whatever I do to the bloody thing I can't seem to get it firing properly with any air nozzle after I broke the original one. I've decided I can't be arsed with it and will save up some money to get an A&K version.
Bloody thing.
Regards,
Ralph
Today I fiddled around with my looks-like Japanese impression. Sorted out a passable webbing set from a mix of Russian, German and British stuff, although my cunning plan of putting a Russian water bottle in a P37 skeleton frame didn't work. I also re-covered my Mark V helmet in a plain cover to look like a Japanese one and found a spare helmet net to replace the BAOR 'shrub' style. I'm buggered if I'm taking all that scrim off.
Cheers
Martin

What make ZB26 have you got, I've been looking at getting the A&K one but I can't seem to find one in stock anywhere.
Also, for keeping with the flow of the conversation, I repaired (at least I hope) the two leaky Luger magazines I have

It was an Apple Airsoft aka Chinese clone of the Rock/Echo 1 Zb26. I've found a few places that can get hold of an A&K one but they have to be ordered specially it seems.

Bleaching my dak trousers to try and get them to more of a veteran look
Don't over do it remember, if they're not too bleached let them fade naturally.
I hung my DAK jacket outside in the sun and rain for several weeks. That worked OK.

Going to strip down my carbine and find out why the hop is so extreme.
Bit of cnc work for a couple of project guns.
Considering stripping the stock on my K98 and retaining it as it doesn't seem to be ageing on its own. Guess the factors finish is a bit too tough.
This weekend I've been working on some props for our Vierville game in September, its already shaping up to be a very exciting event!
